Finding Peace & Purpose on the Water
"A Day on the Water Can Change a Life"
At Veterans Sailing & Wellness, we believe that the simplicity of a sunrise over open water and a shared conversation among peers can spark hope and transform lives. Founded by veteran and boating enthusiast Scott Girard, our mission is to help veterans navigate the challenges of reintegration, isolation, and mental health through the healing power of water.
Experience Healing on the Water
Our carefully curated boating excursions offer veterans a unique opportunity to rediscover peace, camaraderie, and purpose. Whether you’re sailing into a calm horizon, snorkeling in clear blue waters, or paddleboarding along a serene coastline, every moment is designed to foster connection and personal growth.

“On my first trip with VSW, I finally felt the peace I’d been missing since returning home. The support was genuine, and for a moment, I found my purpose again.” – Carl, Veteran Participant

The Spartan Sword Pledge

Before setting sail, every participant takes the Spartan Sword Pledge—an anti-suicide pact made with a battle buddy of their choice, pledging to seek help when needed and to support one another. This powerful promise forms the cornerstone of our community, ensuring that no veteran faces their challenges alone.
